| What range does the pH of the product containing Synactin® AC need to be in? | Synovea® HR, part of the Synactin® AC blend, is a phenolic compound and needs to be formulated into products within the acidic pH range (below 6.5). Formulators should check the pH range acceptable for all other ingredients as well. |
| Can anything affect the color of the product containing Synactin® AC? | Iron or copper ions can affect the color of a product with Synactin® AC. These metals ions can be present in water and can also be produced by UV radiation. To avoid interaction with Synactin® AC and metal ions, the following measures can be taken: • Add a chelating agent at 0.1-0.3% (Examples: EDTA, EDDS, Sodium Phytate) • Use airless and/or opaque packaging Iron or copper ions can affect the color of a product with Synactin® AC. These metals ions can be present in water and can also be produced by UV radiation.
